Vahterus Launches Combined+: The Next Evolution of Flooded Evaporator Technology

Vahterus, a leading provider of heat transfer solutions with more than 35 years of experience, introduces the Vahterus Combined+, the latest development in its proven Combined evaporator product family.

Since its introduction, the original Vahterus Combined evaporator has helped redefine flooded evaporation system design in refrigeration and heat pump applications. With thousands of units successfully operating worldwide, Vahterus has continued to refine the concept, resulting in the new Combined+ model.

The Vahterus Combined+ is a flooded evaporator equipped with an integrated droplet separator and superheater within a single shell. This compact design reduces installation footprint, minimises piping and simplifies system integration.

By incorporating superheating directly into the unit, the Combined+ provides reliable suction gas superheating without compromising the efficiency of flooded evaporation. The required heat for superheating can be recovered from hot condensate or other available waste heat sources.

As refrigeration and heat pump systems continue to evolve towards higher efficiency and more compact installations, the Vahterus Combined+ helps customers optimise system performance while reducing installation complexity.

Sales of the Vahterus Combined+ will commence in October 2026.
