Regasification of CO2 and other liquified gases
Industrial gases are often delivered to users as liquified gas and need to be regasified before their use. The heating fluids are selected depending on the saturation temperature of the gas. For CO2, typically ethylene glycol or even hot water with high flow can be used.
Where chilled water may be needed for process cooling, an efficient cold-recovery system can be designed. The PSHE is a highly efficient and true counter-current solution, and therefore very close approach temperatures can be reached.
Benefits
- Ability to handle cryogenic temperatures and quick temperature changes
- Close approach in cold-recovery duties
- Small footprint
- High efficiency
- Designed to avoid freezing (high shear stress, optimised wall temp).
