Subcoolers

Subcoolers can be used in many refrigeration systems and are most often employed in heat-pump applications. Vahterus offers a large and versatile range of high-pressure subcoolers. Typically, the cold return water is first used to subcool liquid refrigerant in the heat exchanger, providing better COP for the entire refrigeration and heat-pump system. The compact design with high efficiency and low pressure loss provides the optimum solution for this application.

Another option is to use a Vahterus subcooler PSHE in crude-oil cooling applications. Vahterus has years of experience with variable oil qualities and solutions for oil heat transfer.
