This week, in line with non-western traditions stretching back centuries before the Gregorian calendar, is the Chinese New Year. Hundreds of millions of people are welcoming in the Year of the Tiger. It’s also a way of giving thanks for the last year, and a spring festival to celebrate the new season and fresh growth in nature.
